DESCRIPTION: PW mvt only - Jules Jurgensen, Copenhagen, rare perpetual calendar with moonphase, 46mm dial diameter, 43mm movement diameter, HC model mvt, white enamel quadruple-sunk dial with aperture for moonphase indication, SW and made for bow-setting, fully capped lever escapement with counterpoise, 20-21J, wheel satin nickel finish, s#13890bis. Comes in a metal tin within its original box containing Jules Jurgensen certificate having correctly matched serial number as well as with a business card for "Henry Oehl watchmaker with Schulz & Rudolph, 28 John Street, New York" that has a note of receipt for this serial number watch which is dated 4/11/99. Interior of box has a secondary compartment with removable insert concealing an extra crystal and mainspring. Underside of box is stamped with correctly matched serial number 13890B.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running after a sluggish start, calendar functions advancing properly when adjustment buttons are depressed though upper button (controlling day, date and month), tends to stick in depressed position on occasion, overhaul recommended, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, few fine scratches, some spotting to plate surfaces; dial with numerous hls within upper date-register, two hls within seconds-register, scratch below upper date-register; excellent hands; wooden box with a fracture across its upper lid, otherwise excellent cosmetic condition overall.
